Although the effort by US oil corporations to acquire and control global carbon-based energy assets for profit price control began in Mexico prior to World War I, their greatest efforts were initiated at the beginning of the US Bush/Cheney presidency in the early months of 2000 that sparked a number of US-led oil company projects supported by the Department of State using intell agency, military and para-military operations in South America, Africa and the Middle East that instigated revolutions, wars and horrific deaths under the guise of establishing US-style democracy. Upon achieving successes in oil producting nations such as Iraq, Syria and portions of Africa, US-led oil corporations set their sights on the oil/coal-rich Ukraine which has for centuries been part of the Soviet/Russian sphere. However, clearly recognizing the US-led pattern to attempt social disruptions in countries to install a US-friendly government that would allow US oil and coal corporations to dominate Ukraine's energy assets, Russian President Vladmir Putin took forecful and determined action to arrest US oil companies by engineering a Russian political "takeover", then ensuring Russia's only and ancient southern sea access to the Black Sea by annexing Crimea, a subregion of Ukraine. President Barack Obama, recognizing Russia's historic relationship with Ukraine and Crimea delcared no US military response, but has initiated, as a sop to now disgruntled oil corporations, economic sanctions under the guise of contesting President Putin's 'anti-democratic' decisive actions to protect Russia's regional economic integrity. Authorized for Active Duty and Ready Reserve Service service during the Alert Period.
