This Display Recognition is available ONLY to authorized recipients who possess orders, or authorization form, or release documentation that confirms award eligibility. (See "Issue Requirements"). To obtain either a Display Medal or a Display Recognition for your authorized award you will be required to provide military-issued documentation authorizing your award. There are no exceptions. You must NOT submit a military issued document or photocopy that:

After a three-day Siege one-eyed opposition leader Mullah Mohammed Omah and his "student" followers succeeded in his fourth attempt to conquer Kabul, the capitol of Afghanistan. after murdering President Burhanuddin Rabbani. believed to be a Soviet "puppet" and senior members of his Administration. Regional United States and Allied forces were placed on Alert but no action was taken, resulting in Osama bin Laden and al-Queda provided training land used to prepare an eventual attack on the United States and Western nations. Authorized for Active Duty and Ready Reserve Service service during the Operation Period.
