Operation Hastings

Awarded For Service During the Operation Period. Constantly plagued by harassing enemy hit-and-run strikes, Operation Hastings was designed to rid the region of Viet Cong guerillas and North Vietnamese regulars. With the assistance of courageous Naval support Operation Hastings led by United States Marines was a strategic success in forcing both enemy organizations to flee across the Demilitarized Zone.
