This Display Recognition is available ONLY to authorized recipients who possess orders, or authorization form, or release documentation that confirms award eligibility. (See "Issue Requirements"). To obtain either a Display Medal or a Display Recognition for your authorized award you will be required to provide military-issued documentation authorizing your award. There are no exceptions. You must NOT submit a military issued document or photocopy that:

Operation Fargo (Vietnam)

Operation Fargo was a reconnaissance in force operation coupled with a secondary mission of road clearing and road Security. The general area of reconnaissance in force operations included the northern sector of Binh Long Province and the northeastern sector of Tay Ninh Province. Road clearing operations were conducted along National Highway 13 between An Loc and Loc Ninh. The Operation was undertaken to counter increased enemy activity in the newly formed Military Region by the 5th and 9th Viet Cong Divisions and the 7th NVA Division.
This Operation was a success.
Authorized for Active Duty and Ready Reserve service during the Operation Period.
