This Display Recognition is available ONLY to authorized recipients who possess orders, or authorization form, or release documentation that confirms award eligibility. (See "Issue Requirements"). To obtain either a Display Medal or a Display Recognition for your authorized award you will be required to provide military-issued documentation authorizing your award. There are no exceptions. You must NOT submit a military issued document or photocopy that:

Promised by President John F. Kennedy to succeed "before the end of the decade", the Apollo 11 moon landing accomplished the most significant event in human history... landing a man on another planet. Occuring also during the largest military increase in Vietnam in preparation for the Invasion of Cambodia which occured eight months late, this Document is authorized to all Active and IRR personnel, military civilian and federal aviation employees who served on 20 July 1969.
