    SPECIAL NOTICE

Common errors are made by applicants who do not READ and FOLLOW the instructions explicitly stated...

    • 00/00/0000    (the month, date and year are unknown (this cannot apply to entry and discharge dates which can be found on the veteran's Report of Separation)

2/3. Please be sure to correctly follow the instructions on how to enter the name of a military unit or vessel, and how to enter the name and location of a military installation. READ the line instructions carefully. DO NOT enter info that is not requested.

If you are not a subscriber but you have questions about the 201A Award Report service you must use EMAIL ONLY to submit your question(s) to The War Library. To operate this as a free service your application form is initially 'read' by a computer. This computer requires the correct capitalization for names, addresses, units, etc., in order to provide accurate information to a human reader who finalizes your Award Report. Your application form will be rejected if you do not use capital letters when appropriate, or if you use all lowercase or all uppercase letters. Click here to go back to the beginning
